Health Data Services provides technology solutions and professional consulting services to our clients in three key areas: data integration, analytic tools, and cloud-based commercial marts and hubs. Leveraging Symphony's comprehensive data assets, Vantage Applications, Health Cloud platform and data integration capabilities, the HDS practice offers customized technology-enabled services to client and act as a key interact with internal technology and operations platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Engagement Manager is responsible for all client interfaces within the assigned account(s). She/he manages relationships with operational client personnel and is the owner of the entire engagement cycle. She/he will demonstrate excellent executive poise, presence and relevance to executive leadership, up to the levels of CEO, CxO, at the world’s premier Pharmaceutical and Healthcare companies. The EM will have a good understanding of strategy and consulting best practices, responsible for engagement, delivery quality and customer satisfaction by structuring and managing engagement from inception to completion. The primary focus is on solving strategic and tactical sales & marketing issues across life sciences, bio-technology and healthcare industries. This includes familiarity with leveraging Payers, Provider and Patient data as applied to one or more aspects of Commercial Effectiveness including Managed Care or Patient Centric Analytics. Knowledge of advanced analytics and market research and ability to blend consulting, analytics, and technology to help healthcare and pharma companies improve the ROI of their sales and marketing. The Engagement Manager will be working in a highly collaborative environment with other internal business units and using Symphony Health Solutions proprietary data and methodologies for custom analytics and as needed. Key areas of internal interface include: Technology, Business Development, Client Solutions Teams and other Practice areas.
Responsibilities are broadly defined and are expected to increase as quickly as aptitude is demonstrated. This is a highly challenging position that draws heavily upon all of the analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills essential to strategy consulting. Consultants serve on project teams that deliver high-quality marketing and sales strategy projects to clients. In particular, Consultants possess qualitative research and unstructured problem solving skills and/or advanced quantitative analytics skills. The ability to assume complete ownership of significant projects while at the same time being a part of and leading a close knit team is essential. Consultants may work on multiple projects simultaneously. Our consultants must organize their own tasks and schedules in carrying out substantial business analyses and delivering high quality, client-ready work. As our clients are often large, complex systems, these consultants must demonstrate considerable poise and business maturity to perform effectively and add value in the client environment. As an Engagement Manager, S/he will also be responsible for deriving insights from the analyses of complex data sets and development of a compelling and persuasive storyline and strategic recommendations for senior management. S/he will be responsible for client presentations and post delivery follows up to ensure client satisfaction.
